You don’t have to feel guilty or uncertain about your training
This program can be an introduction to positive reinforcement training for some, and a way to deepen an existing approach for others.
Regardless of your experience, you’ll inevitably hit moments when things aren’t going as planned, progress feels slow, or you wonder if you’re doing it right for your horse.
Sometimes it’s just helpful to have something, or someone, to fall back on. A conversation, an exercise, a next step: something that gives you space again and helps you refocus on what you’re actually working on.
You’re training your horse, of course, but you’re also training yourself. In observing, choosing, adjusting… it takes something, but it also gives a lot in return. Not just because you start feeling more capable, but because you rediscover the joy in your training.
Don’t compromise on welfare
You choose an approach that puts the horse first, because how can you enjoy yourself if you know your horse isn’t thriving?
Want to do right by your horse
You sometimes struggle with perfectionism. It makes it hard to stay joyful in the process, especially when results come slowly.
Make the most of your training
You crave clarity and structure that support growth at your own pace. You want to learn to trust your choices and look forward to each training.

5. Track your progress and mark your milestones by earning certificates.
“Janneke pays close, empathetic attention to my horses during training, provides clear, step-by-step suggestions, and stimulates both my creative and structured training approach. She’s one of the few instructors where I truly feel that the emotions and welfare of my horses and myself truly matter.”
– Marein and Buckskin
Train Together: 6-Month Program
This program is for positive reinforcement trainers who feel like they’re putting in the work but not really making progress. You train carefully and have a general idea of what you want, but there’s some noise, doubt, or stagnation holding you back. Maybe you’re missing structure, depth, clarity, or simply the fun in your training. You know you could get more out of your sessions – or both yourself and your horse – but you’re struggling to get there on your own.
First, we plan the route
Together, we explore your goals and capabilities and define what to focus on and how; whether plugging gaps in your foundation, starting new exercises, or creating a full training plan.
Regularly learning from other sessions
Every other week, you can have your own training analyzed, send in questions, or observe others’ sessions. Inspiration, confidence boosts, and community are vital to your progress.
Doing the same d*mn thing…
We won’t do the same things and expect different results. I check in weekly so I cheer you on or steer you in a better direction.
Everything available anytime
No need to download an app; you’ll find everything in your member section of the site. Why reinvent the wheel when it’s right at your fingertips?
Continuous support
You can share all your questions and thoughts with me between check-ins, meetings, or appointments so you don’t have to wait.

Clear Exercises
You don’t have to figure everything out yourself. In this program, you get practical and concrete guidance. With clear exercises, realistic goals, and support along the way. Theory only comes in when it adds to what you’re doing.
Structure & Growth
Whether you’re just starting or already experienced, you don’t have to know it all. This program offers structure without rigidity. You grow toward independence, with enough support to feel confident in your choices.
Focus on Welfare
Physical, mental, and emotional welfare are central. There’s room to adapt based on your horse’s needs, without losing sight of the bigger picture. Every step is tailored and well-founded.
“After just one lesson with Janneke, I realized that training with food is so much more than clicking and treating. Janneke taught me various techniques, knowledge, and skills that immediately removed the frustration around treats, and from that solid foundation, we could build further.”
– Marieke and Aaron
It’s essential to pay attention to how your horse feels today to decide whether we can continue with our strategy or need to rethink it; for both your horse’s emotional and physical welfare.
Who will you be learning from?
I have been navigating through the horse world for over 25 years; the last 10 years as an independent entrepreneur.
From competitive to alternative, and from traditional clicker training to positive reinforcement with freedom of choice
From being very skeptical about food rewards to curious about how horses truly learn
From feeling I might not be the right person for my horse, to building a powerful, equal partnership
With a traditional equine management and ORUN diploma in hand, I continued learning independently when specialist programs weren’t available.
I have learned from experts like Frans de Waal, Jane Goodall, Bob Bailey, Mustang Camp, Shawna Karrasch, Inge Teblick, Conrad Pruijssen, Fairhorsemanship, Hannah Dawson, Machteld van Dierendonck, Eva Meijer, Rachäel Draaisma, and many others.
I became a teacher and trained trainers and instructors at Zarica Teaching Academy and ClickerAcademie.
Now that Force Free is finally gaining recognition, my mission is to help people and horses beyond the R+ hype.
Bringing reward-based techniques to life and supports people when circumstances are challenging; offering an honest, realistic approach that works for everyone involved.
Standing by the belief that the horse is always right, has the right to remove itself from a situation, and deserves time to heal emotionally and physically.
Balancing taking the feelings of horse and human seriously while maintaining enough humor, rest, and optimism herself. It can be a challenge – after all, I’m human too – but it’s an essential part of the learning journey.
“The shift from 25 years of negative reinforcement to almost exclusively positive reinforcement hasn’t been easy, and I’m grateful to have a committed, patient, and skilled ‘teacher’ like Janneke.“
– Loes, Johnny and Oti
FAQ
Do I need a lot of experience?
“Advanced training is just the basics done really, really, really well.” – Ken Ramirez
Whether you’re advanced or just starting – the focus of this training program is establishing or strengthening your training foundation. No exercise is unimportant and no question is silly. And everyone can learn from each other. You don’t need prior experience to join and make progress.
What if I don’t have much time?
At the start of the program, you and I create a plan that fits you and your horse, and your schedule too! You can achieve surprising results with regular, short training sessions. The program is designed to be accessible and less time- and energy-consuming than what you may be used to. Your training should energize you, not drain you.
Can I pay in installments?
Yes, this training program can be paid in 1, 2, or 3 instalments.
How long is a session?
Both online and in-person sessions last 45 minutes.
What if I don’t like filming?
To give the best guidance, it’s important for me to see the session with my own eyes, but if you don’t want or can’t film every session, that’s okay. Regular written updates between lessons (and occasional videos) are also possible.
How do I receive all info and materials?
Short updates, schedules, and practical info are sent via email or WhatsApp/Signal, including instructions to access the Online Workspace. Skill cards and certificates you earn will be mailed to your address.
When do the Clickability Group Calls take place?
Group calls rotate on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings. Every other week at 7:30 pm, so everyone gets a chance to attend.
What if I miss out on a Clickability Group Call?
No worries! All meetings are recorded so you can watch the replay later. You’re welcome to submit questions and videos in advance if that’s easier. You can watch Janneke’s feedback in your own time.
What if I decide to stop after a few months?
Of course, you might stop for any reason. But remember, you’re taking a spot in a limited-capacity program with access to personal coaching, group sessions, and materials. That’s why there’s no refund for early withdrawal.
You’re always welcome to talk with me about any concerns. In some cases, a pause or adjusted listening may be possible.
What if my horse gets injured?
This will definitely affect the plan we created, but it doesn’t mean you have to stop completely. We can try to adapt the plan and in some cases pause the program temporarily.
You don’t have to do this alone.
You, just like your horse, are a being who sometimes needs guidance. I have made it my work to make positive reinforcement creative, fun, clear, and easy. This way, you don’t have to figure it out alone. It gives you extra time and energy to act, experiment, and enjoy.
Try it out for a month
Sometimes you want to feel how something works before committing. That’s why you can access the full program for one month. You get the same coaching, tasks, and tools so you can experience whether this program is the right fit.
There’s no hidden beginner version: you simply jump in like everyone else. And at the end of the month, you decide if you want to continue. It’s an invitation to genuinely try it out.
